Language and Learning Services (LLS-ARTS) assists students with problems concerned with study, learning, and the use of English in the Faculty. We can help you with the following:

• understanding essay and assignment topics and analysing what you need to do
• taking notes and organising them

• The document delivery service can acquire materials from other libraries on your behalf or you can borrow from other libraries in person.

• Excellent borrowing conditions allow you to borrow more items, for longer.
• Access to quality electronic resources purchased by the library is available.
• Special collections contain comprehensive research materials.
• New resources - about 100 a week are added to the collection. 

Tips for making the most of library resources and services

You can borrow in person from most Victorian academic libraries. Ask for a CAVAL card from the loans counter at AUSBATAR Library. You can search the catalogues of other libraries through the AUSBATAR Library catalogue. If you live interstate you may wish to take advantage of the national reciprocal borrowing scheme University Library Australia. Researchers in scientific or technical fields should investigate SESTICON.

You don’t have to be in a branch to be using the library. Generally, quality online research resources are not free on the Internet. The library spends almost $1.8 million to ensure your access to these resources. You can access these resources online, using your password, anytime, anywhere.

Take notice of emails from the library. Emails are sent when loans are due, have been recalled or are ready for pick-up. Students will automatically receive these emails in their AUSBATAR email account.
